Arizona Appraisal New License Requirements
There are three levels of licensure for Arizona Real Estate Appraisal:
- Licensed Residential Appraiser
- Certified Residential Appraiser
- Certified General Appraiser
In order to begin your appraisal career as a Licensed Residential Appraiser, you must meet these initial requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must not have had a license or certificate denied within one year preceding your current application
- Must not have had a license or certificate revoked within two years preceding your current application
- Must not have committed any crimes involving dishonesty or moral turpitude
- Pass the state examination
- Submit application and required documents and pay associated fees
If you meet the initial requirements, you must complete 150 hours of education requirements and complete 2000 hours of experience within 18 months. At Mbition, you will find 135 hours of the required courses needed to complete your initial educational requirements. The individual courses offered include: Basic Appraisal Principles, Basic Appraisal Procedures, Residential Market Analysis and Highest and Best Use, Residential Appraiser Site Valuation and Cost Approach, Residential Report Writing and Case Studies, Residential Sales Comparison and Income Approach. You will also need to complete the 15 Hour National USPAP Course or its equivalent to finish the required educational requirements.
Arizona Appraisal Continuing Education Requirements
What are the state of Arizonas requirements to become a licensed real estate agent?
All Arizona appraisal licenses must be renewed every two years. In order to qualify for renewal, 28 hours of continuing education must be completed. Of the 28 hours, 7 must include the USPAP Update course or its equivalent and distance education (or online courses) cannot account for more than 75% of the hours.
