Kentucky Home Inspection New License Requirements
To apply for a license as a home inspector in Kentucky, you must complete the following requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or GED
- Complete 64 hours of approved educational credits (you can find out which providers are approved by the board (and which previously approved providers are now expired) here)
- Complete 3 unpaid inspections monitored by a licensed supervisor
- Pass the NHIE examination
- Undergo a Kentucky State Police and FBI background check
- Submit application along with $250 fee
- Acquire general liability insurance coverage for at least $250,000
