Louisiana Home Inspection New License Requirements
If you would like to practice a career in home inspection in the state of Louisiana, you must complete the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
- Complete 90 hours of approved educational credits and the standards of practice report writing seminar
- Complete 30 hours of pre-licensing platform training and 10 live inspections under the guidance of a licensed home inspector
- Pass the NHIE exam
- Obtain the following insurance requirements: E/O Insurance for $300,000 (max deductible $5000); general liability for $300,000 (max deductible $5000); $25,000 bond
- Turn in notarized application

Louisiana Home Inspection Continuing Education Requirements
