Anyone interested in practicing a career in home inspection in the state of Nevada must complete the following licensure steps:
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school education or GED
- Complete 40 hours of approved, classroom setting education (see a list of approved courses here); For the General level you need 50 hours and for the Master level you need 60
- Observe 25 inspections completed by a general licensed or master home inspector
- Obtain the following insurance requirements: at least $100,000 of errors and omissions and liability insurance of at least $100,000
- Complete a background check and fingerprinting
- Submit notarized application and pay $350 fee

All Nevada home inspection licenses expire every two years. To qualify for renewal, licensees must complete 20 hours of continuing education.
